Welcome to our school
It is a great pleasure to introduce you to Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Primary School.
We are a happy, caring and ambitious Catholic school where every child is known, valued and encouraged to flourish. We are proud of our Catholic identity and warmly welcome children and families of all faiths and none. Everyone is an important part of the Our Lady’s family.
At the heart of our school is our mission, inspired by the words of Jesus:
“Let Your Light Shine before others so that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”
We live out this mission through our values of being Open, Loving and Aspirational and our three simple school rules:
We Care • We Learn • We Respect
We want our children to be happy and safe, to develop a love of learning and to have the confidence and resilience to achieve their very best. We provide a rich and exciting education that nurtures faith, develops knowledge and skills, and gives children opportunities to discover and develop their individual gifts and talents.
Our Lady’s is about much more than academic achievement. We want every child to grow into a kind, confident and responsible young person, ready to use their gifts to make a positive difference to others and the wider world.
Strong relationships with our families are central to everything we do. By working together, we can ensure that every child feels that they belong, is supported to succeed and has every opportunity to Let Their Light Shine.
We hope our website gives you a flavour of our wonderful school, and we would be delighted to welcome you to visit Our Lady of the Assumption and see our school community for yourself.
